Children with some degree of disability or functional diversity will have priority access to the reception of the Three Wise Men in Mijas Pueblo, Las Lagunas and La Cala. It was announced this Monday, by the Councillor for Fiestas of Mijas Town Hall, Tamara Vera (PSOE). She explained that this measure, promoted at the request of the residents themselves, will prevent children, with any degree of disability, from having to wait in line to greet Their Majesties, the Three Wise Men. "Families will only have to present their disability card at the checkpoint that we will set up at the fairgrounds in Las Lagunas, the Virgen de la Peña square in Mijas Pueblo and the boulevard square in La Cala," he added. This card will be requested by families with children who have some disability degree.

In addition, and as a prevention against the increase in the number of contagions, the three static rides parade will be carried out under strict security measures. "Once again, we will have the help of Mijas Protección Civil to maintain safe distances between the families. As we did last year, there will be a route so that the children can pass through, greet the kings and leave the enclosure in a controlled manner," said Vera.

The awaited receptions of the Three Kings will take place simultaneously in the three centres from 4:00 pm. It will be an afternoon, said the Councillor, "of great excitement, in which children and adults will be able to see and greet the Three Wise Men. Then, Their Majesties will visit each of Mijas homes". Finally, Vera has taken the opportunity to wish a happy new year to all Mijas citizens, "wishing the very best for all of us". Hoping that health, good times and events could be lived again with the long-awaited normality that we are all hoping for.
